Why could a screenplay be rejected? It is one of the hardest items to deal with. One way of looking at it is simply just trying to figure out what could have happened. It’s tough because it’s like an ego shot but nevertheless it can happen. There is a reason that it could very well happen.

One potential reason could be that it may not be what a producer is looking for. With each movie, they are completely different so they will have different standards. It is not one that is considered a personal rejection because of hatred.

The other reason is that they may be because it may not have been that good. It isn’t a personal motive to outright hate it. While it may be good for some, it’s not for all.

The only thing that could be done is possibly try to get feedback on what could be done to improve for the next time. Anyone who aspires to write screenplays will not easily give up. All that could be done is simply try again and see if it will fit in what a company could be looking for. Just simply try again and see what happens.

Short films are great but do you know where to look to find the best ones? If you’ve got http://www.direct.tv/ channels you may stumble upon great shorts from time to time but here are a few unlikely sources to check, too.
Academy Awards: Visit the Oscars website to take a look at all the nominated shorts from the past. There’s actually a category for it and you’ll find the best of the genre listed out and sometimes even linked to – easy as pie!
SNL: You’ve heard of digital shorts, right? They may not be actual digital films but they’re interesting nonetheless. There’s a lot to think about when you’re watching these free-form version of the genre which can give you ideas for making your own short films, too.
Library of Congress: An unlikely source, the Library of Congress actually keeps on file a collection of notable films including a lot of shorts. You can check out some but many you have to watch on-site so make a day of it and browse the archives at one of the country’s best Libraries.

For those who are trying to write a screenplay, and want to get their play on stage, whether it is on a local or on a nation wide stage, making sure that you have a great story line is the first thing that has to be considered by the writer of the play.
