Author: Why could a screenplay be rejected? It is one of the hardest items to deal with. One way of looking at it is simply just trying to figure out what could have happened. It’s tough because it’s like an ego shot but nevertheless it can happen. There is a reason that it could very well happen.
One potential reason could be that it may not be what a producer is looking for. With each movie, they are completely different so they will have different standards. It is not one that is considered a personal rejection because of hatred.
The other reason is that they may be because it may not have been that good. It isn’t a personal motive to outright hate it. While it may be good for some, it’s not for all.
The only thing that could be done is possibly try to get feedback on what could be done to improve for the next time. Anyone who aspires to write screenplays will not easily give up. All that could be done is simply try again and see if it will fit in what a company could be looking for. Just simply try again and see what happens.
